For Easter, we made our own huge, beautiful Easter Eggs. I have to admit, I’d have liked them more in chocolate, myself. But, my, were they pretty! After Easter we hung them in the girls’ bedroom, a beautiful addition.

First, we blew up 7″ oval balloons and put them in a base (soup mug). Then we soaked 12″ lengths of yarn (we liked the multi-colored yarns best) in a 1 part water to 1 part white glue mixture.

 

Then we draped the wet string over the balloons, trying to cover as much of the surface as we could.

 

We left them to dry overnight.

 

Finally, we hung them for all to enjoy.
